FAQ

What is Pending3d?

pending3d is a small design studio creating 3D printed objects inspired by anatomy, everyday life, and curiosity. Some pieces are sculptural, some are tactile, some are playful and some don’t really need a reason to exist.

Everything is designed with intention and made in small batches.

Who is behind pending3d?

pending3d is run by a designer with a background closely connected to the medical field and a long-standing love for anatomy. It all started with hand-drawn sketches that mixed anatomical forms with everyday objects and slowly evolved into physical designs. (of course with help from Aortyx)

What kind of products do you make?

A mix.
You’ll find sculptural objects, keychains, fidgets, and experimental pieces. Some designs focus on form and display, others on touch and interaction, and some exist purely for fun.

How are the products made?

Each item is 3D printed in small batches. That means:

No mass production

No huge warehouses

Lots of hands-on testing

Some pieces go through many versions before they ever make it onto the site. Others quietly disappear forever. (RIP to those designs.)

What material is used?

Most pending3d products are made using PLA, a high-quality 3D printing material made from plant-based sources. It’s lightweight, durable, and allows for clean details and smooth finishes, perfect for the kind of sculptural, tactile objects we create.

PLA is great for everyday use, display, and handling. It’s not designed for high heat or heavy-duty environments, but for desk objects, keychains, and fidgets, it works beautifully.

In short: it looks good, feels good, and works well for the kind of objects we make.

Are these medical or professional products?

No.
While anatomy and well-being inspire many designs, all products are decorative or functional objects, not medical devices or professional tools.

Will items look exactly like the photos?

Because items are made in small batches, minor variations can occur. Each piece is checked for quality, but small differences are part of the process and make each object feel unique.

Can I choose colors or variations?

Some items may offer color or style options. Available choices will always be listed on the product page.

Do you offer custom designs?

Custom work may be available on a limited basis. When it is, it will be clearly stated. Feel free to reach out if you’re curious.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Shipping options depend on location and are shown at checkout. Availability may vary.

How long does processing take?

All items are made in small batches, so processing times can take up to 5 days before shipping. This allows time for printing, finishing, and quality checks. Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking details.

Good things take a little time and a few test prints.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary depending on the item and order volume. Estimated timelines are provided during checkout.

What if there’s an issue with my order?

If something arrives damaged or isn’t right, reach out. We’ll do our best to sort it out.

What is the return & exchange policy?

Because most pending3d items are made in small batches (and often made to order), returns and exchanges are limited.

That said, if something arrives damaged, incorrect, or not quite right, please reach out. We’re human, and we want you to be happy with what you receive. If there’s an issue, we’ll do our best to sort it out.

A few things to know:

Items must be unused and in original condition to be eligible for a return or exchange.

Custom or made-to-order items may not be eligible for returns.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Any approved returns or exchanges must be arranged before sending anything back.

If something feels off, don’t stress, just send a message within a reasonable timeframe and we’ll take it from there. We are human.

Anything else?

Probably not, but if you have a question, feel free to ask. pending3d is built on curiosity, experimentation, and making objects that are enjoyable to have around.

And yes, I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I enjoy making them.
